WHY Crosslake
We do the hard part so you don't have to
We lay the the global network to connect your business
Fibre is in our DNA.
Crosslake Fibre’s unique company DNA is to not only operate as an International Network Service Provider (NSP) but also to locate, develop and build longhaul fibre routes that need new fibre networks, diverse and complementary to existing routes and that can deliver internet infrastructure that is applicable for applications not only for today’s technology but for future generations of users.
We're building tomorrow's network Today
Created with a mission to develop and operate new, worldclass fibre infrastructure.
Crosslake commissions Canadian Seabed Research to perform an underwater marine survey of Lake Ontario, a month long process to collect geophysical and geotechnical data, required to design and engineer the Lake Ontario cable.
Tiger Infrastructure Partners's investment enabled Crosslake to develop fibre-optic cable projects throughout North America, including a new submarine fibre-optic cable from Toronto, Canada to Buffalo, New York through Lake Ontario.
Crosslake celebrated the completion of a submarine fibre optic cable bridging Lake Ontario between Toronto and Buffalo, New York. While submarine cables have existed for hundreds of years, and dozens run across our oceans, Crosslake Fibre’s project is a first in the Great Lakes and provides critical telecommunications infrastructure for the region.
Crosslake announced that the first new fibre-optic cable constructed between Toronto and New York in almost two decades had entered commercial service, creating a new low-latency path between Toronto and New York.
Crosslake announces its newest subsea cable project, CrossChannel Fibre. The historic, next-generation 550km cable is the first fibre-optic subsea cable to be built across the English Channel in nearly twenty years and will connect Slough, United Kingdom and Paris, France.
Crosslake expands its network into the 165 Halsey Street data center facility.
The marine route survey, which included geotechnical, geophysical, and unexploded ordnance surveys, is completed to optimize the route for cable protection.
Crosslake goes live with its new, 550km route connecting London (Slough) and Paris. The cable went into service in December 2021 and provides much needed fibre supply as it is the first new cable laid between the UK and France across the English Channel in over 20 years. The new, low latency route, provides physical diversity and lower total cost of fibre ownership to the market.
Crosslake continued its network expansion through the addition of new PoPs growing its core backbone network to 25 on-net PoPs.
Crosslake continues its expansion through the addition of new backbone PoPs in Paris that form a metro ring connecting key data centres in the city.
Maple Leaf Fibre is a joint venture between Crosslake Fibre and Metro Optic to develop a new high-count fibre-optic cable between Toronto and Montreal. The new, entirely underground route, will be completed by the end of 2024 to provide physically diverse dark fibre to the market.
