Crosslake Fibre has formalized its partnership with Equinix to extend its submarine cable route into major data centres in Toronto and New York, namely the Equinix TR2 IBX in Toronto and NY4 IBX in Secaucus, New Jersey. This move strengthens the route’s endpoint infrastructure, delivering both lit and dark fibre options with sub-9 ms latency between these two major financial hubs.
The network, live since October 2019, boasts a 192-fibre-strand cable traversing Lake Ontario (~58 km subsea), offering unrivalled performance, physical diversity, and high capacity for customers in finance, content delivery, gaming, and network services.
By landing in carrier-neutral, Equinix-operated facilities, Crosslake gains access to rich ecosystem connectivity—making deployments and operations more efficient while delivering enhanced service availability and lower latency to end users.
