EXA Infrastructure has secured a single fibre-pair on the CrossChannel Fibre system to interconnect data centres between the UK and France. This addition gives EXA customers access to a modern, high-fibre count, low latency route between Slough (UK) and Paris, incorporating a 149 km subsea span across the English Channel.

Operating since December 2021, CrossChannel Fibre supports ultra-low latency (under 5.5 ms round trip between London and Paris), strong network resiliency, and reduced operational complexity. EXA’s move aligns with growing demand for direct, high-capacity subsea routes between major European data centre and financial hubs.

By leveraging this capacity, EXA is able to broaden its geographic reach, offer more route diversity, and ensure customers benefit from improved performance and reliability.
