euNetworks and Crosslake Fibre have announced an exclusive partnership for the CrossChannel Fibre system to deliver ultra-low latency services between London and Madrid, specifically tailored for the financial services community. This collaboration gives euNetworks rights to offer dark fibre and latency-optimised connectivity over CrossChannel Fibre.
The CrossChannel system spans 550 km: from Slough (UK) through a subsea segment under the English Channel (Brighton → Veules-les-Roses), into Paris. It features 96 fibre pairs in a non-repeatered design, and is built with only four inline amplifiers (fewer than typical routes) and efficient cooling and power usage, offering one of the lowest latency paths between London and Paris.
Through this partnership, customers in Madrid will have improved access to high-performance connectivity, leveraging the strength of CrossChannel Fibre and euNetworks’ optical and metro fibre infrastructure.
